Growing in this space with YOU might just be one of MY favourite things.
Your words penetrate my heart in the best possible way. I love what you say about being just as much of a writer and an artist as you are a mother... all of your heARTistry on equal ground because it’s all so life giving and sacred.
I feel alot of this too. There has been so much change in our children we don’t always see it in ourselves and I am guilty of seeing the negatives and what has been lost in my identity or lifestyle, rather than what has been gained or how I have grown. Lovely thought provoking read. ❤️
Thank you so much Kylie-Ann. It's so easily done to go down the road of what we are lacking, what we haven't achieved etc simply because there is a lot of truth in us not being able to do as much as we would have pre motherhood . But the flavour and energy of how we do the things now as mothers has changed and in my opinion it makes it all the richer. Sending you love x
Oh Claudia, this is incredible and I feel it so deeply. I too became a mother unprepared, and while there are things I wish I could go back and change (like actually researching breastfeeding more than just saying, "I'll figure it out when the time comes") I also love the version of me that I was then and how she's led me to who I am now. You have such beautiful insights here, and you are a magnificent writer. I am SO grateful to be in this space with you.
Thank you for baring yourself in the words. It’s nice getting to know you through your expression, through your story-telling, through your unraveling. X
Thank you darling mama, for reading and your wonderful support here. It is deeply felt and so appreciated x I look forward to diving into your latest hopefully this afternoon, with deliciously creamy ceremonial cacao hehe 🫶🏼✨
This is so beautiful 😭😭 So much for my Mama heart ❤️ Partly because we have been looking at a Steiner Kindergarten for my son for when the baby arrives for a couple of mornings a week but in all honesty I don’t know if I’m ready and partly because I know my future self will be feeling all of this. I’ve been practicing Vedic meditation daily for the past two years now, have read quite a few books, lots of podcasts, NVC training, have received relationship/gentle parenting coaching, releasing childhood trauma work, the list goes on but I would LOVE to know the top things you’ve read/done over the last 10 years that supported holding space for your children. I know the biggest learnings are found in the moment with them as they show us the mirror and we lean into the healing 🪞 but I also know having tools is very supportive. With love Rachel xx
Lovely
Thank you for reading Susan ✨
